Joining Our School
Admissions for September 2018
Following the 1st March offer day, should your child not have received an offer for the Maplesden Noakes School please find below advice regarding what to do should you wish to join our waiting list and/or appeal for a place.
Provided you named Maplesden Noakes School as one of your choices, you are eligible to add your son/daughter’s name to our waiting list. The waiting list will be held by KCC in the first instance. You therefore need to complete the green form sent by them which is included in your pack and return this form to KCC by 16th March 2018. Unfortunately the school is unable to keep it’s own waiting list until the end of April.
Provided you named Maplesden Noakes School as one of your choices, you are eligible to appeal. Please complete the Appeals Form which is accessible via the KCC website: www.kent.gov.uk/schoolappeals and return it to The Clerk to the Governing Body at The Maplesden Noakes School. All appeals need to be lodged with us by 29th March 2018.
We recommend that parents join the waiting list and appeal in order to stand a better chance of obtaining a place.
Secondary transfer from primary school: parents will receive a KCC “Admission to Secondary School” booklet from their primary school. This provides a detailed explanation of the process – parents can apply on line or on paper.
In year casual admissions: if you are moving into the area or want to change schools parents complete an in years casual admission form obtainable from KCC and return to the school. The link for the casual admission form is: http://www.kent.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0012/3522/in-year-admission-form.pdf
The Maplesden Noakes School accepts applications from students living in the area shown above. Or view the google map by clicking here
