6th Form
Our Sixth Form is well established and offers a comprehensive range of traditional and vocational courses. In addition to our own students we welcome students from other schools and hope that they will quickly feel part of a vibrant and forward thinking community. The focus of our Sixth Form is directed toward the individual, and endeavours to develop students as mature independent learners and equip them with the skills needed for their future careers.
Entering post 16 education requires considerable thought. Students are faced with new opportunities and freedoms, but with these come increased responsibilities and pressures. Staff at Maplesden Noakes are highly qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated. They will use their expertise to help bridge that gap between GCSEs and post 16 courses of study.
To create a successful Sixth Form the school has to be flexible and challenged to meet the varied needs of its students. It needs to be able to respond to the ever-changing demands of the workplace and, at the same time, develop the students' academic potential and social development. At Maplesden Noakes we achieve this by offering a broad range of educational opportunities where learning takes place beyond the classroom, enrichment programmes are available for all, and a range of social functions are organised and supported by the students.
