Teacher of Art (Maternity Cover) Salary: MPS/UPS - Required October 2026
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Art on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from October 2026 for approximately one year on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be required to teach Art across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Experience in ceramics would be advantageous but not essential. The position is open to Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) as well as more experienced colleagues.
The Art department is a high-performing and successful department, consisting of two full-time teachers, three part-time teachers, a Teaching Assistant and a Technician. The successful candidate will join a supportive team committed to delivering an inspiring and ambitious curriculum.
Students follow AQA GCSE Art, Craft & Design (Unendorsed) and A Level Art, Craft & Design courses, achieving strong outcomes and producing excellent creative work.

Alongside a salary of between £34,823.00 - £51,048.00 pa, the school currently contributes 28.68% (the equivalent of between £9,987.24 and £14,640.57 pa) towards you being a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
